Even though print was everywhere in the Bensoni show yesterday, you never felt overwhelmed. Beautiful and detailed prints could be found on billowing, delicate silks, layered up to create something that was distinctly modern. Even though it was clear that inspiration for the designers could be found rooted in the 70's, the use of digital printing gave the clothes a clean edge. It was refreshing to see prints that were softer compared to last SS & AW10.
I especially liked the pairing of these delicate prints with simple, elegant tailored long jackets. Contrasting a loose, lower silhouette with more looks gave the collection a younger edge.
Overall it was an extremely wearable, yet creative show and the 2 new young designers, Clyburn and Yoon, will definitely be 2 people I look out for in the future.
